Major Highlights
Talk on evangelisation by Sr A. DubeSr Dube explained the meaning of the word evangelization. She also explained the meaning of the expression ‘new evangelization’ and how youths can embark on this great mission as everyone is sent to be ‘fishers of men’. She went briefly into explaining the Vatican council that entails participation of the laity. She also elaborated on the function of the church in a society and the role of youths .
Vocational talk by Fr J. Moyo
The talk concentrated more on consecrated life and what it means for an individual to give their life to Christ as a Priest, Nun, Brother or Monk. He also talked about God’s calling and cited examples from the Bible of men who were called to do his work and urged youths to listen to God’s calling .
Vocation fair
Youths had a wonderful time hearing first hand information from different Orders/Congregations that presented on their respective Patron Saints as well as missions.
Talk on social life fundamentals by Fr. Musendeki
This talk was described by many youths as spiritually uplifting as it dwelt on the day to day activities that youths engage in i.e relationships and sex, alcohol, drugs. The priest motivated youths to desist from unchristian activities such as pregnancy termination.
